Frequently Asked Questions

These are some questions I often get asked, if you still can't find the answer you're looking for please email hello@thebluehairedbaker.co.uk

How do I store my Cake?

Please note I cannot take any responsibility for your order once it has left my premises. When travelling back to your destination please ensure you keep it cool and shaded. If in a car, the passenger floor is the safest place. It is not advised to travel on public transport with cakes. Keep your cake refrigerated and remove 2hours prior to eating keeping in mind that hot weather can effect buttercream.

What time can I collect my order?

Morning Collection is 11.30am-12pm. Evening Collection is 5.30-6pm. If you require a different specific collection time please specify when ordering.

I can't see the cake I would like on your website, what should I do?

Please also refer to my Instagram, if you still cannot find an example of what you're looking for please send over photos or a full description in your email or enquiry form. Please note I will not create carbon copies of another baker's work nor do I use fondant.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

All Cake and Graze Tray orders require a 50% deposit. Small Goodies orders less than the quantity of 30 require upfront payment, 30 or above require 50% deposit. Your order will not be confirmed without a deposit.

I need to cancel my order can I get a refund?

There is a strict no-refund policy however orders can be rescheduled with more than 48hours of the initial order date. Less than 48hours and your deposit and date will be lost and you will need to re-order and repay a deposit. Please be sure before booking.

Can you make anything Vegan?

At the moment I offer Cakes and Cupcakes in vegan options, flavours being Vanilla, Chocolate, Victoria sponge or Lemon. There will be some styles I may decline to make vegan due to the difference in consistencies.

I'd like a Loyalty Card, how does it work?

The Loyalty Cards are for collection orders only, not online. You must spend over £35 to qualify for a stamp. You must receive four stamps to qualify for the Small Goodies reward however you also have the choice to receive the reward on your fourth order. This also works the same for 30% off, eight stamps or on the eighth order. Spend over £150 and you qualify for two stamps.

Small Goodies reward: 6cupcakes minus any extra toppings.

30% OFF: any order over £35
